On our West Riding services we will usually have some reserved seats throughout the train.On our North East services, Coach B at the South end of the train is normally unreserved.
Passengers with Advance tickets will always have a seat reservation. Those travelling on Anytime or Off-Peak fares are able to get on any train within the ticket’s validity period and hence do not necessarily have dedicated seats.
Passengers can reserve seats on any service by contacting their local ticket office.
During weekends and Bank Holidays we will publish seat availability charts on our social media channels. These rank each service we run on a scale of green (plenty of unreserved seating) to red (little or no unreserved seating). On services marked red, it is possible that passengers without seats may have to stand.
